Amantikir - Talking Gardens
The amantikir Park is the result of a mixture of two ingredients: dissatisfaction and enchantment.
These seemingly contradictory but very important ingredients in the fulfillment of our dreams,
were essential in the history of the agronomist and landscape engineer Walter Vasconcellos.
Born in Campos do Jordão and in love with the city, after traveling through dozens of parks and gardens in Europe,
United States and Canada, came back from vacation with the feeling that
his city deserved a space as charming as those he had visited.
It seemed unfair to him: not even the owners of the gardens,
to whom he served as Dr. Garden,
had the opportunity to enjoy the fullness of such beautiful gardens.
Just imagine: a flowering could occur in full Monday
and the next Saturday there was nothing left to be appreciated!
This uneasiness was essential to germinate the seed of a garden open to the public.
Built in an area that once housed the Serra Azul Haras, the dream gained strength
through the financial contribution of friends and clients of Dr. Garden.
On 25 August 2007, the amantikir was born.
After almost a decade of history, the park has received thousands of visitors,
from different parts of the world, and today it has only two partners:
Roberto Baumgart and Walter Vasconcellos.
